The 111th Congress Gets Underway

This week, a new Congress begins its work.  Shortly, we’ll be joined in our efforts by President-elect Barack Obama and his dedicated team.

We’ll work for change that makes a difference in the real lives of Americans.  We’ll work for an economic recovery that creates jobs and for reinvestment that leads us to long-term prosperity.  We’ll work for universal health care that’s affordable, portable, and can never be taken away.  We’ll restore and renew America’s commitment to civil liberties.  And we’ll continue to stand tall for tax policies and technology policies that empower all Americans.
