Sen. Ron Wyden: Standing up and delivering for our Country's most vulnerable

Recently, Senator Ron Wyden appeared on MSNBC to discuss the blockage of key unemployment and COBRA benefits by Sen. Jim Bunning (R-KY). Sen. Wyden has previously taken a strong stand against these obstructionist tactics, calling the attack on out-of-work Americans "fundamentally wrong."

Speaking to Ed Schultz, Sen. Wyden lays out how extending these benefits is essential for families who are trying to pay rent, put food on the table, and find a job. "This is a lifeline," Wyden said to Schultz. "We're going to make sure people get it." Click below to watch the Senator's remarks:

UPDATE: Late last night, it was learned that Sen. Bunning had relented on his obstruction of these key unemployment benefits. Thanks to the leadership of Oregon Senators Wyden and Jeff Merkley, out-of-work Americans will have their critical unemployment benefits extended.
