Sign the Petition: vote NOW to end Citizens United!
Recent decisions by the U.S. Supreme Court, in Citizens United and McCutcheon, have unleashed a flood of anonymous campaign spending into our elections – sucking the oxygen out of our democracy and drowning out the voices of regular Americans. It’s time we do something about it.
The Senate is scheduled to vote next week on an amendment to the U.S. Constitution that would effectively overturn Citizens United and McCutcheon. It would make clear that the American people have a right to limit and regulate spending in our elections.
NOW is the time to make our voices heard. That’s why I’m joining with my colleagues in the Senate to rally citizen support for the amendment. Sign the petition: join our call for a constitutional amendment to restore transparency and limits to campaign spending!
Election Day will be here before we know it. We’re already getting barraged by anonymous attack ads. Let’s make this election the last election to be dominated by billionaire-backed SuperPACs.
