We're getting up off the mat.

Friends,

Last week marked the five year anniversary of Citizens United, the Supreme Court decision that said corporations are people. I don’t know about you, but I didn’t celebrate.

The Koch Brothers and other billionaire donors, however, did at the annual Super PAC summit they held in Palm Springs over the weekend. Now, they’re gearing up to spend nearly $1 billion on the 2016 elections.

That’s an average of over $1.3 million every day!

Look, this business of winning elections isn’t easy, but the issues we fight for matter a great deal and are worth the hard work and sacrifice. Whether we’re standing up to protect Social Security for retirees, working to stop the Keystone XL pipeline, or defending internet freedom for the next generation of young innovators, the work we do matters in a big way.

Thanks for stepping up.
