It doesn’t matter how old you are, where you live, what you do for a living or anything else: Everyone eventually needs good health care.

Before the Affordable Care Act, we would all heard the stories of families going bankrupt because the insurance company never paid up, or because they couldn’t afford insurance, or because they were denied coverage for a pre-existing condition.

It wasn’t easy, but we passed health care reform to give more families greater to the affordable health care they deserve.

Since then, the Affordable Care Act has been under assault. Legislators on the far right have tried again and again to either repeal the bill or pick it apart, and now the Supreme Court is threatening to dismantle key provisions of the law.

America has come too far on this issue to give anything back now.

Everyone deserves affordable health care. It’s a right, not a privilege, and we’re going to defend it all the way.
