Before the internet, how did you decide what new restaurant to try, which plumber to hire, or TV to buy? Well, mostly you had conversations with friends, neighbors, co-workers.
The internet has only made word-of-mouth reviews better. Now, we can access the collective wisdom and honest opinions of thousands of real people who took a moment to tell the world what they thought of that new brunch spot down the street, or the local plumber, or any number of services and products.

The online review revolution is a great thing for consumers. Yet, some corporations are afraid of people-powered reviews – and they’re sneaking fine print into contracts that allows them to punish customers for leaving negative reviews, including financial penalties!
