Join me: stop the GOP’s un-American, unacceptable, unworkable budget
Early this morning, Republicans in the House rammed through their budget reconciliation bill full of cuts to Medicaid, SNAP, clean energy investments, and so much more.
I want to make something clear: their extreme, cruel, and economically devastating bill is nothing short of a war on working families.
Everything in this bill is designed to make you and your family poorer and sicker than ever before just so Donald Trump can give another round of tax cuts to himself, his rich friends, and their corporate donors.
Right now, we need to lay the groundwork to push back on the Republicans' backward priorities. We need to show that their agenda is unpopular and pressure wavering representatives and senators to put people first.
The outrage fatigue is real, but as this bill goes to the Senate, NOW is the time to get loud. Now is the time to make your elected officials know they will be held accountable for supporting this extremist right-wing wishlist.
At a time when our economy is slowing and families are feeling the crunch of rising costs, the last thing working families can afford is cuts to their health care or food assistance. I won't stand for it.
I won't stand for the GOP's eagerness to hurt hospitals, small businesses, and the environment – all to pay for another tax cut to billionaires.
Our voices matter right now. And Republicans in Congress need to hear them.
