What is Stand Tall For America?

Stand Tall for America is a website in progress - and we're just getting started.

With your help, it will be the online organizing center for Americans who care about progressive policy change that tackles the tough problems facing our country -- including health care, tax reform, net neutrality, and more.

It's sponsored by Senator Ron Wyden (D-Oregon) and paid for by Wyden for Senate, but it's really about you.

We really can tackle the tough problems. But only if we stand together. Only if we Stand Tall for America.

Net Freedom: Tell Senator Wyden what you think.

They say the Internet was built to withstand a nuclear attack.

But unless we're vigilant, the Internet that we know and love will be crushed by powerful special interests.  They want to control it, limit content on it, tax it, and use it for their own ends.

The Internet has been the most effective force for economic growth, free speech, cultural exchange, and community in the history of the world.  We can't let those special interests take control.

Net Freedom is about allowing anyone to start small and dream big.  It's about letting small businesses and regular folks thrive.  And it's about defending our freedom, for all of us, as we explore the possibilities of this new technology.

From fighting internet-only taxes, to defending internet radio from unfair royalties, to defending the principle and practice of net neutrality, Senator Ron Wyden has stood tall for Net Freedom.  Learn more about Net Freedom.

What do you think?  What does Net Freedom mean to you?  What else should we be paying attention to?

Let's start a conversation about protecting the internet for everyone.

    QUICK FIX FOR AMERICA
What America needs is a quick fix with simple solutions. If I had the power I would instantly make the following ideas a reality. I’ll call it the PEOPLE’S BILL.

    ECONOMY
My solution for the economy is America’s Ace’s in the hole. I must keep it TOP SECRET from the rest of the world. Knowledge of this solution may lead to a serious condition known as money and power. This is not a joke, this is real.

    SAME SEX MARRIAGE
Marriage is a contract. If two adults want to enter into that contract, that is their business. Give the people equal rights.

    INTERNET GAMBLING
Legalize internet gaming, regulate it and tax it. (The government should tax wants not needs, yet it should tax for needs not for wants.)

    ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION
All illegal immigrants will have one year to register as an illegal immigrant. They will be on probation for five years or untill they become a citizen. If a crime is commited before citizenship they will be exported. All registered illegal immigrants will have five years to become a citizen.

    HEALTH CARE
Legalize marijuana. Impose a 50% tax on the retail sale. Use the proceeds from the tax to supplement insurance premiums for health insurance. The definition of an herb is a plant that bears seed and withers in the fall. The Bible says God created every herb to be used as man’s meat. Marijuana bears seed and withers in the fall.

    ECONOMY
ECONOMY! PAY ATTENTION! I hold a Top Secret solution to solve the domestic economic problems. This is a powerful solution to drasticly reduce the National Debt, increase the G.N.P., finance social security, give funds to the postal system and put money in your pocket. This solution is only available to Americans. Due to the nature of this solution and the need for it to be top secret I’m only going to make it available to persons that purchase a random 45 RPM record for $10. Please do not put any meaning to the contents of the record, it is just a random record from my private collection. It is my way of making sure I’m sending the solution to an United States address. Knowledge of this solution is a must to survive and will change your life forever.

I copied and pasted the above from my website at titlemike.ws
