No on Neil Gorsuch

I'm a NO on the nomination of Neil Gorsuch, Donald Trump’s pick for the Supreme Court.

We need someone who will stand up to abuses of power, not someone who will enable them.

Neil Gorsuch’s track record doesn’t look good:

As a Bush administration lawyer, Gorsuch condoned the use of secret law, defended extraordinary renditions, and tried to end judicial oversight over Guantanamo Bay detainees.

As a federal judge, he has elevated corporate power over people, putting workers' lives at risk.

Gorsuch even wrote a ruling defending Hobby Lobby's decision to refuse contraceptive coverage for its employees.

And he wrote an entire book arguing that the people of Oregon should not have the right to pass our death with dignity law to allow terminally ill patients to die peacefully.

With that record of practicing secret law and putting corporations and government ahead of individual rights, I can't support his elevation to the highest court in the land. Let’s keep up the fight.
