Sign the petition: Protect LGBTQ youth

It’s time to put a stop to the notion that LGBTQ individuals should be anything other than who they are.

Oregon has led the way on ending “conversion therapy” for minors – the practice of trying to change an individual's sexual orientation or gender identity under the guise of treating it as a mental illness. “Conversion therapy” is fraud – plain and simple.

The LGBTQ community is something to be celebrated. It’s time to stop damaging and torturing young people with this practice. Sign the petition to end “conversion therapy!” These harmful practices have led to depression, decreased self-esteem, substance abuse, homelessness, and suicidal behavior in LGBTQ youth. I’m fighting to pass the Therapeutic Fraud Prevention Act and make providing “conversion therapy” to anyone a punishable offense.
