Every. Single. Move.

Kris Kobach is coming for our democracy and we’re going to stop him.

Trump’s voter suppression commission held its first meeting this week. If you remember, the commission is led by Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, who promoted laws that encourage racial profiling by police and who was behind Trump’s discriminatory Muslim registry.

When asked about addressing cyber security and election hacking, Kobach said, "We may potentially want to address [it], but we certainly don’t have to." Of course you won’t.

Despite Trump’s WILD claims, there is still absolutely no evidence of widespread voter fraud. Voter restriction laws keep thousands from the polls and swing elections towards those who stifle our democracy – which is exactly what this commission is about.

The commission is going to do everything in its power to roll back voter protections and justify new voting restrictions that keep seniors, students, and people of color from voting.

But we can fight back. I’m fighting for Oregon-style vote by mail to increase voting security and accessibility. And you bet I’m going to be watching them. Every. Single. Move.

Share this post on Facebook and let’s call this commission what it is – voter suppression!
