"Be an American hero. Vote against the tax plan. Save my life."

When advocate Ady Barkan, who was recently diagnosed with A.L.S., ran into Senator Jeff Flake on a plane, he had a simple plea for him:

Be an American hero. Vote against the tax plan. Save my life.
