Check your mailbox; make a plan

Check your mailbox; Oregon has started mailing ballots to voters!

Donald Trump's recklessness, ignorance, and alarming attraction to authoritarianism means that we're facing one of, if not the most important election of our lifetimes; it's essential that we take back Congress and put a check on his power.

I urge you to get involved over the next few weeks at whatever level you can: talk to friends and neighbors, volunteer, make phone calls, write postcards, contribute to campaigns you support.

But don't forget: all the organizing and hard work means nothing if we don't vote. So please, when your ballot arrives, make a plan to fill it out and turn it in by November 6. Urge your friends and family to make a plan, too.

We're all in this together, and we're all depending on each other.

And when we all show up, we win.

PS - Ballots must be received by 8 pm on Election Day and postmarks don't count! So make a plan - vote by mail or find your nearest official ballot drop box.
