Update: Saudi fugitives fleeing the country

For over a year, I've been asking a simple question: has the Saudi government has been helping fugitives flee the United States justice system when they're charged with violent crimes, and does the U.S. government know about it?

This isn't new, and it's not partisan. That's why I'm taking action. From The Oregonian:

U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden on Thursday muscled through a bill that could force the Trump administration to publicly disclose what it knows about the Saudi Arabian government's suspected role in spiriting its citizens out of the United States to escape prosecution for serious crimes.

This legislation will force the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Director of National Intelligence to release any and all documents relating to whether the Saudi government is involved in these cases.

This isn't some vague international drama. This is about whether a foreign power is helping its citizens escape justice.

As I have long said, the American people deserve answers. This is about manslaughter. About sexual assault. This is about getting justice for the victims and the families who are suffering greatly because of it.

This isn't over. And I'll keep you posted as we move forward.

Because I won't stop fighting until we have answers, and until justice is delivered to the victims' families.
