A word about the House hearings

I still vividly remember being in the Capitol building during the insurrection on Jan 6, 2021. Our temple of democracy was defiled — windows shattered, furniture smashed, offices ransacked. We will always be in debt to our U.S. Capitol Police who proved themselves once again to be heroic defenders of the Republic on that day.

Let me be clear: this was an unprecedented attack on our democracy, the likes of which we have never seen before.

The House hearings on the January 6th insurrection are proving that it was worse than we feared. This was not a protest that got too "rowdy." It was a calculated and deliberate attempt to disrupt the peaceful transfer of power.

Our democracy is fragile. It's clear that our slim majority in the Senate isn't enough.

We must strengthen our democracy by expanding our progressive majority in Congress that will fight to protect the foundation our country is built upon, instead of doing everything in its power to undermine it. We can't do it without you. Can you chip in $3 right now?
