Protect the abortion pill

Abortion rights are under attack in all 50 states. That's not hyperbole.

Here's what's going on:

In the coming days, a right-wing Texas judge (hand-picked by Donald Trump) is set to rule on a case that could ban the abortion medication mifepristone nationwide.

More than 50% of abortions in the United States are through medication.

If this ban is put into place, women in every state, even states that protect the right to abortion, will lose access to critical reproductive care.

Last week, Ron took to the Senate floor to do something he's never done: he called on the FDA and President Biden to ignore the ruling if this extremist judge decides to ban mifepristone.

Rolling Stone: Wyden to Biden: Damn the Judge. Protect the Abortion Pill

Ron is exactly right. This is a battle with too much at stake. We must take decisive action to ensure that women across the nation do not lose access to this critical medication. Not for one week, one day, one hour.

Can you chip in now and join the fight?

This judge, Matthew Kacsmaryk, has already earned the title of the most lawless judge in the country. He's known as an anti-abortion zealot and right-wing activist.

Kacsmaryk is preparing to use his power as a judge to create a legal loophole to circumvent the will of the people and criminalize abortion pills.

Republicans have placed right-wing activist judges in seats across the country, all the way up to the Supreme Court. They have eroded public trust in our judicial system. They've stripped away the constitutional right to privacy. Now, they're looking to take away even more rights. We must take a stand against their lawlessness.

Chip in now to help elect strong pro-choice leaders who aren't afraid to speak truth to power.

More soon,

Team Wyden
