What comes next

Trump officially signed the Republicans' cruel, harmful budget bill into law yesterday, and his billionaire political donors just got exactly what they paid for in the form of trillions in new tax breaks.

17 million Americans will lose their health care.

Kids will go hungry.

Women will lose reproductive care.

Utility bills will skyrocket.

The U.S. will fall behind China in the energy race.

This is a terrible moment for America, and undoing the damage that Republicans have wrought will not be easy.

But we cannot give up. The basic ability for people to live healthy lives is worth fighting for. A clean energy economy is worth fighting for. A system in which working people are lifted up while billionaires pay their dues is worth fighting for.

So we press on. We have the power to make 2026 a referendum on the GOP's destructive agenda. Taking back Congress is the essential first step in reversing the devastating cuts to Medicaid, SNAP, wind and solar power, and so much more.

I'll be lending every ounce of my efforts toward lifting up strong Democratic fighters, exposing the effects of Republican policies, and driving the narrative for the vision we want to see made a reality.

I have never been more grateful to have supporters like you in the fight with me. You are what makes our movement powerful — and you'll be what makes it victorious in the end.
