This didn’t happen overnight
All year, Donald Trump has been dangerously emboldened – even more so than in his first term. He's ignored courts and Congress as he's pursued a radical agenda of dismantling programs that help working families, slashing health care, and attacking free speech.
But this month, we got the clearest signs yet that Trump's political foothold is slipping.
Republicans were routed in statewide elections from Pennsylvania to Virginia to New Jersey to Georgia. Trump – after failing to bully his own party members in Congress into submission– found himself having to flip-flop and pretend that he supported releasing the Epstein files all along. And across the GOP, private infighting became public as Republicans woke up to the possibility that 2026 could be a blue wave.
This momentum shift didn't happen overnight; it happened because of months of tireless work by people who want to see America do better.
For all the challenges we still face, it's clear that we have a chance to preserve our democracy and build a better future. The will of the people is our best weapon right now, and we must harness it at every level in every fight ahead.
Onward,
Ron
