No funding for Trump’s thugs

As we watch the horrors wrought by ICE and mourn the killings of Renee Nicole Good and Alex Pretti, let's be very clear about why this is all happening:

Republicans cut funding for your health care to pay for Trump's lawless militia. Now that militia is occupying cities, trampling upon people's civil rights, and bringing violence to our communities.

I cannot support funding for ICE's until there's accountability, an end to these abuses, and a guarantee of safety for civilians.

Here are a few places we can start:

• REMOVE Kristi Noem as Secretary of Homeland Security. She's put more effort into falsely smearing Good and Pretti as "domestic terrorists" than she has into ensuring that ICE agents are properly trained.
• BAN masks on ICE agents. The idea that anonymous agents can snatch people off the street goes against everything our country was founded upon.
• END warrantless arrests and entries by ICE agents.
• STOP ICE from being able to buy up Americans' most private, personal data. Legal loopholes mean ICE – or any federal agency – can buy up Americans' personal location data, and I have the legislation to stop them.

And there's a whole lot more can, must, and will do to end this terror.

Defending freedom from tyranny is one of the most important duties an elected official in America has. I will carry out that duty however I can.
