Congress cannot delay sensible gun safety measures any longer!

The August mass murders in El Paso and Dayton left 31 people dead, bringing the total count to 274 people killed in mass shootings in 217 days of 2019.

That’s an average of more than one person killed per day.

Yet Mitch McConnell refused to call the Senate back to pass pending background check legislation, because, he didn’t want to act “prematurely.”

Life-saving gun safety measures aren’t premature. They’re long overdue. And every day that McConnell stalls this vote to appease the gun lobby means more people will die.
