Every digital record can be weaponized

When the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, it had far-reaching consequences.

Not only have people across the country lost access to abortion care or had it severely limited, but the Dobbs decision has also rolled back Americans' fundamental right to privacy and to live their lives free of government intrusion.

I've been sounding the alarm that with Roe overturned, this could mean that anyone's private information – from researching birth control online, to bringing a phone to the doctor's office, to entering information into a period tracking app – could be used as evidence to prosecute them. Unfortunately, we're already seeing evidence of this happening around the country.

Until Roe is codified into law, every digital record can be weaponized. And the consequences could be deadly for women.

We must build up our progressive majority to codify Roe into law and protect the right to privacy. Can you chip in now before our end-of-quarter deadline tonight to fuel this fight?

Protecting the right for Americans to live their lives free of government intrusion should be a bipartisan issue. But, for all their talk about individual freedom, Republicans aren't interested in protecting the privacy of Americans.

I'm working hard in the Senate to protect the right to privacy for every single American and to stop shady data brokers from becoming a deadly tool for far-right prosecutors who want to buy up huge databases of Americans' private information.

Let me be clear: this is a once-in-a-generation fight for the fundamental right to privacy and reproductive freedom. Will you join in the fight for data privacy and chip in now before our end-of-quarter deadline tomorrow?

I'm going to continue fighting tooth and nail to protect Americans' constitutional rights once and for all.
