The next frontier in the GOP’s war on women.

Just last week, amidst the turmoil surrounding a potential government shutdown, House Republicans introduced a bill to ban access to abortion medication, effectively banning abortion nationwide.

When Republicans gutted Roe v. Wade, Democrats warned that a national abortion ban would be around the corner. Unfortunately, evidence continues to mount that we were right.

This House Republican bill is the latest in a long line of attempts by far-right conservatives to gut access to abortion medication. Earlier this year, I sounded the alarm on the illegitimate court ruling of a District Judge in Texas – hand-picked by Donald Trump – that would have restricted access to Mifepristone, the most commonly used method of abortion in the United States.

We've seen countless headlines since the repeal of Roe of women being forced to go without the life-saving reproductive care they need due to red-state abortion bans. If Republicans get away with implementing a national abortion ban, countless lives will be lost, and countless women and families will suffer.

While Republicans in the House continue their dramatic infighting over who to choose as Speaker, know that they're not letting up from going after your constitutional rights.

Thanks to our Democratic majority in the Senate, this bill will go nowhere. But make no mistake: if Republicans control the House and Senate after next year's election, a national abortion ban will become the law of the land.

We need to expand our pro-choice majority in the Senate and retake power in the House, and we need your help to get there. Can you chip in $8 today and help fuel our movement?

More soon,

Ron
