Tell Trump’s Interior Department: Don’t raise visitor fees to national parks!

Every year, millions of middle class families visit our national parks. Families that save money all year long so they can make that special trip to share the glory of our national treasures with the next generation. Yet Donald Trump’s Interior Department recently announced a plan to raise fees on visitors to 17 of our most popular national parks, including Yosemite, the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, and Acadia. The administration claims that these price hikes are necessary to “improve the visitor experience and ensure America’s national parks are protected in perpetuity.”

At the same time Trump and Congressional Republicans were complaining that we couldn’t afford to maintain our parks, they had no trouble giving away trillions in tax cuts to billionaires and corporations. In one year, those giveaways to the very wealthy would fund our national parks for more than a thousand years.
